High-Voltage
Preamp Outputs Because AIWA in-dash CD and cassette receivers have built-in high-power amplifiers, you can enjoy clean, dynamic sound simply by connecting them to a set of high-quality car speakers. But if you're installing a powerhouse multi-amp system or later want to upgrade, AIWA in-dash units are ready. Rear preamp output jacks make it easy to add external components, such as crossover units and power amplifiers. And the high-voltage design of these outputs effectively prevents extraneous noise from being picked up and amplified, even with long runs of cable between components. |
ISO/DIN

Professional installers and do-it-yourselfers will appreciate
the fact all AIWA in-dash units conform to the ISO/DIN standard, making them an
easy fit in just about any modern automobile dashboard. They also conform to the
ISO Wire Color Code standard, which greatly simplifies hookup.
Full Flap
Type Detachable Front Panel
Being able to remove the front panel is a great idea that helps
deter theft, and just about every AIWA in-dash unit has it. Higher-end AIWA
models take the concept even further with an innovative drop-down,
full-flap-type detachable front panel. This innovative design totally conceals
the tape or disc slot, which you access by flipping down the front panel. This
frees up space on the panel, permitting a more spacious display and control area
that is easier to read and operate. Of course, the panel can be completely
detached.

Input Jack
Every AIWA in-dash unit provides a front input mini-jack that
lets you plug in an auxiliary audio source - such as a portable tape, CD, or MD
player. It's not only a convenient way to listen to your portable player through
your car system but also far superior to using a cassette adaptor because it's a
direct connection. You get the best possible sound quality, with the widest
frequency and dynamic range.
H-Bass
Enhancement
Conventional bass boost circuits also affect the mid-bass and
midrange, resulting in muddled, "boomy" sound. AIWA's sophisticated circuit
provides true deep bass enhancement for a dynamic, palpable bottom end that does
not destroy the clarity of vocals and other mid-frequency content. You can
select from three levels of H-Bass enhancement to suit the type of music, volume
level, and your individual taste.
Anti-Shock/Anti-Vibration Mechanism
Shocks and vibration are unavoidable in a moving car. AIWA CD
player and changer mechanisms are eminently roadworthy thanks to sophisticated
suspension systems that smooths out sudden bumps and curves and prevents harmful
vibrations from reaching the laser pickup. Muting and skipping are thereby
greatly minimized. AIWA's 10-disc changer additionally provides protection with
a 10-second buffer memory to ensure interruption-free music playback.

Once you have programmed the station and time of day - whether you're distracted
by unusual road conditions, listening to a CD or cassette, or even have your
audio system turned off - your selected broadcast will always come on at its
appointed time (unless the car is off).

AIWA CD changers are remarkably compact, providing convenient
multidisc playback capability in a minimum of space. You can choose the
ultra-compact 10-disc changer for maximum continuous playback time. Or, if space
is at an absolute premium, choose the ultra-compact 6-disc model. The 6-disc
unit is small enough to be installed in the passenger compartment, so you don't
have to go back to the trunk to load or change discs.
CD-Text
Available with AIWA's top-of-the-line CD and cassette receivers
in combination with the 10-disc changer, this advanced convenience feature lets
you read text from CD-Text encoded CDs.
Automatic Volume
Control
Background noise changes as you drive. Open a window or rev up
to highway speed, and you probably have to turn up the volume on your audio
system. Stop at a light, and you probably have to turn the volume down again.
AIWA's smart Automatic Volume Control senses background noise and makes the
appropriate volume adjustments for you.
CD Changer
Control Capability
AIWA CD and cassette receivers with CD Changer Control
Capability enable you to control all of the playback functions of either the
6-disc or 10-disc AIWA changer from your in-dash unit. This makes it unnecessary
for you to use a separate control panel or remote control to operate the
changer.
